Matt was one of 15 artists selected for Pause, To Begin’s inaugural year. Read more about the unique new competition below and on their website.
“Drawing from a pool of nearly two hundred applicants around the globe, the inaugural year of Pause, to Begin will culminate in November 2008 with the release of a limited edition hardbound book that highlights the work of 15 selected photographers. Additionally, these photographers’ works will be exhibited in both print and online mediums during the coming months. We invite you to continue to use our website and blog for information and idea exchange. Both online venues will be updated frequently as David, Ethan, and Bruno travel for the month of May to meet the selected photographers living in North America.” – Pause, to Begin
Tim Lytvinenko, Kendrick Brinson and Matt Eich’s images were of those chosen by A Photo Editor’s Rob Haggart, the former Director of Photography for Men’s Journal and Outside Magazine, in his Free Promotion Contest on http://aphotoeditor.com/.
His reasoning behind it, “The purpose of this is to connect photographers with buyers for FREE. That’s it. No bullshit.” (more info about that here)
The images he chose can be seen here.
