Busy documenting U.S. Gun Culture

Matt Slaby has been busy this month continuing his work on his U.S. Gun Culture Project:

He’s photographed a multi-day paintball war; concealed firearms carry classes at the Family Shooting Center; Chris Morrison, a 58 year old woman who began shooting at the age of 54 and is now included among the NRA’s top 40 ranked shooters; gunfight re-enactments at Buckskin Joe’s, a recreation of a Wild West town.

Matt Eich awarded in Px3: Prix de la Photographie Paris

Matt’s project, “A Silent Bond” won 1st Place Photojournalism non-pro Feature story and 1st Place overall in the non-pro photojournalism category. It is scheduled to be exhibited in Paris at the Acte2 Gallery from June 26-28. Check out the other winners of the 2008 Px3 competition here.
