Kendrick Brinson’s image for a story about golf course best-management practices appeared on the front page of The New York Times. The story, written by Leslie Kaufman, illustrates how although golf courses are generally thought of as the opposite, many, including The Atlanta Country Club, are models for water saving. They plant more drought-tolerant grass, water the green with recycled water based on weather reports, and keep all the mowing equipment with fresh blades so the cut will allow more water absorption.
